As an Interior Designer, I had the opportunity to study and appreciate different arts and architectural styles, is where my love and appreciation for art come from.
In 2022, I had the chance to visit alone the MoMA Museum in New York City to admire pieces by some of my favorite artists:
Some of them are Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Henri Matisse, and Piet Mondrian,
Claude Monet was one of the founders of the Impressionism, a movement focused on capturing the effects of light and nature’s beauty. His paintings reflect a sense of serenity and movement. Instead of working in a studio, he painted directly in nature to capture its true essence.
Vincent Van Gogh, a Post-Impressionist painter, is known for his expressive and emotional style. The Starry Night is for me one of the most beautiful paintings I ever seen. His paintings for me reflected his emotional state and his struggle with mental health, which makes them deeply personaHenri Matisse was the leader of Fauvism, is famous for his bold use of color and dynamic compositions. In his career, he explored abstract style, creating vibrant and innovative works. The painting shows Matisse's studio with some of his works, creating a connection between them.
Piet Mondrian was a key figure in Neoplasticism, an art movement based on geometry and simplicity. His paintings, featuring primary colors and black grid lines, creating harmony and balance in abstract forms. His style transcended painting, inspiring architecture, fashion, and graphic design.
Art is more than just paintings and sculptures, it is a powerful form of expression that reflects emotions, history, and culture. Each artist has a unique way of seeing and interpreting the world, which is what makes art so inspiring for me. Visiting this Museum and experiencing these masterpieces in person has expanded my admiration for art and its ability to connect people across time and space.
